OptiFine has released a stand-alone.jar file that allows you to play Minecraft with all of OptiFine’s benefits. It is still in the development phase, so there are some elements absent, but they are incorporated and operated on. Do you want to know how to install optifine? Probably the most successful indie game in history is Minecraft. Originally it was designed by Markus “Notch” Persson and introduced by Mojang & the game sold over 54 million copies across all different formats (PC, iPhone, Android, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita). It made it the third best-selling computer game overall, with only Tetris and Wii Sports following.

In the Minecraft world, everything is depicted by cubic objects, including trees, gravel, ice, water, plants, and flowers in this picture. Objects can be replaced and placed with the right tool (such as a shovel to pick up dirt) in your inventory. You can fashion some of these blocks into other items.

What is Optifine?

Optifine is a Minecraft update that is designed to increase FPS (Frames Per Second) and make the game run smoother in general. “But on Ohanacraft, aren’t modifications allowed?” It’s possible to say. YES is the secret to this. Resources are strictly prohibited from Ohanacraft (unless, of course, you’re modded on Ohanacraft).

Yet one of the few exceptions to this rule is Optifine. On Ohanacraft, you can access and use Optifine and don’t think about workers asking you not to use the app. Though, this doesn’t mean all changes are all right to use. The general rule for whether a mod is permissible on Ohanacraft (not modded by Ohanacraft) is this: if it offers you any kind of unfair advantage over other matches, Ohanacraft is not allowed.

Though, even with this regulation, always ask a member of staff if a mod is ok before using it on Ohanacraft.

Here’s How To Install Optifine For Minecraft

  1. Download Optifine

  • Start by downloading the appropriate OptiFine version for your Minecraft version.
  • You will need to download the OptiFine JAR file to run the OptiFine application on your Windows or Mac computer: 
  • Go to https://optifine.net/downloads and then Wait 5 seconds, then click SKIP AD in the screen’s top-right corner (you may need to first click Continue the ad-blocker warning).
  • Click in the middle of the page to download the OptiFine link.
  • If your browser warns you that OptiFine may be dangerous, click Keep or Allow downloads in the web browser of your computer.

  1. Turn ON the Installer

Tap the app you have just downloaded, which will run OptiFine for Minecraft automatically. It will also create a profile named “Optifine” in your Minecraft launcher. 

As of November 2019, Minecraft’s latest version is 1.14.4; if you run a version lower than 1.12, you’ll need to update Minecraft by opening its launcher, waiting for Minecraft’s latest version to download and signing back to your Minecraft account.

  1. Make Sure That You Have Minecraft

Unless you plan to run OptiFine is a Minecraft Forge plugin inside, Forge will need to be enabled.

Note - If you want to run OptiFine as a separate Minecraft setup, you may skip this stage, which is probably easier than downloading Forge if you don’t have it already.

  1. Decide The Installation Direction Of Your Minecraft 

If you’re going to use OptiFine as your own Minecraft setup rather than using Forge, you’ll need to learn the route to the Minecraft update tab. To access it, do the following: 

  • Click or double-click on the Minecraft app icon, open the Minecraft launcher.
  • Tap on the tab Begin choices and then click release Latest Version.
  • After that tap the key “Play Folder.” 
  • Copy the address of the play folder by choosing the address in the text field “Game Registry”
  • Click either Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac).

  1. Run Minecraft’s Optifine Edition

Press the “News” tab in the Minecraft launcher window to pick OptiFine as the update of Minecraft to run and then “Press” the upward arrow to PLAY’s correct.

  1. Start the Minecraft and select the profile

Start Minecraft & Optify Profile Open your MC launcher and pick Optify.

You’ll realize that when you see the profile name on the Minecraft page, it means it will function effectively. You can play Minecraft just like you would before with better graphics.
